Our sector’s export in January-August term increased to 11 billion 556 million dollar. Recovery in Europe affects chemical sector positively. In parallel to these improvements our positive expectations regarding our exports is increasing. 12,5 per cent of Turkey’s export is covered by chemistry. We are planning to increase this to 14 per cent until the end of the year. We are expecting our chemistry export to approach 20 billion dollar at the end of the year.
We believe that the exhibitions we nationally participate in and the trade commission tours foreign marketing teams, which we set up within the context of P&D, join have a great role in increasing our exports. Especially in South American Nations, Far East and Africa, which we call Sub-Saharan, we keep on working. Our exporters cover thousands of kilometers every year in order to reach new markets and to get more powerful in the markets that we are relatively weak as well.
The number of exhibitions and commission tours during a year we organize is 21. We are getting ready for the biggest plastics fair in the world, K Exhibition, which will be held in Germany in October. In November, there are Hong Kong Cosmoprof Asia, Medica Exhibition in Germany, Paris Batımat and ABD PLMA Chicago, as for December there is cosmetic exhibition in North Iraq which we will be participating in nationally. We will keep on working at full speed in order to make the biggest contribution to Turkish export.
